Tom Shanahan

A graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Tom took over as president of  Shanahan Transportation Systems back in 1998 after his father Bob Shanahan retired. Under his direction, Shanahan Transportation Systems has evolved from its modest roots as a truck broker in the early 90’s to a dynamic, multimodal third party logistics provider today. Tom spent many years working to promote surface freight forwarding with the Freight Forwarders Council of America (FFCA), now part of the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA). Tom also served on the board of the Traffic Club of Pittsburgh, the nation's oldest transportation organizations.
